| Been wondering lately about the intro song. I can't find anywhere that says who the singer is but I have a strong impression it's Magnus. Am I right? Just because when I listen to 'No One's Lazy in Lazytown' the singer sounds the same to me. Anyone? | |

| LTP: Some people think Magnús was singing on some songs, and he's not...? SK: No, Magnús can't sing. LTP: Not at all? SK: Not to save his life! He can't even sing "Happy Birthday" so you would recognise the song. LTP: Well, that's a 'Rotten' thing to say! (laughter) SK: Yeah, truth can be rotten, yeah I know. Well I thought he said the name of the singer! I will try investigate! | |

| AH HA!
MÁNI (Svavarsson): Magnús does not sing the opening song. It actually says in the credits that the singers name is "Jón Jósep Snæbjörnsson" (his nick name is Jónsi). He is a famous singer here in Iceland. We never meant for anyone to believe that "Sportacus" was singing that song. Magnús is a quite good singer, but since we are always aiming for top quality, we decided to use an even better singer for the songs in LazyTown. The name of the singer that sings "Energy" and "No one is Lazy in LazyTown" is Matthias Matthiasson.
But he said Magnus is a good singer! LOL

| Thanks! Aw... my bubble has been burst! So Magnus didn't sing ANY of his songs? They sure chose a singer that certainly matched his tone spot on, didn't they? | |

| I was a little disappointed when I found out myself! Especially cos of this lovely song called "Aleinn um Jólin", I was happily believing it was Maggi and Stefan but oh well. At least it's still Sportacus and Robbie. | |

| Thankee! Read the interview! Must be awesome to get to talk to the man! I still have no luck in getting him to accept me as a facebook friend. I sent him a gentle reminder as well as a question about a favorite song of mine he'd done in hopes of getting a quicker response! | |

| I'm late to the discussion, but after finding out that Jónsi was the singing voice for Sportacus, I feel in love with all his work, but only have all of Sigur Ros' albums and his single solo album.
Does anyone know if Jónsi also did the singing for Magnus for the stage plays?

| Jónsi only sang the opening theme as far as I'm aware? The singing voice for Sportacus is Matthias Matthiasson. As for Sigur Rós, that's a different Jónsi. (both have the same nickname ^^) Matthias Matthiasson probably did Íþróttaálfurinn's singing voice in the stage plays, since he was in Aleinn um Jólin (pre LazyTown tv series) but I could be wrong.
Sigur Rós is a brilliant band, I love them.

Sigur Rós is a brilliant band, I love them. Okay, that clears up the LT stuff, but the lead singer of Sigur Rós is named Jónsi, right? Cause the solo album of his I have says that's who he is, and so I'm just a little confused... Also, I LOVE THE LATIBÆ JÓL ALBUM!
